My Story - Built for Candidates, By a Candidate
Back in 2018, I was in the middle of my MBA, applying to what felt like hundreds of jobs—only to be met with silence.
Every day, I spent hours writing cover letters and filling out applications, hoping for an interview that rarely came.
It was exhausting, frustrating, and felt like a complete waste of time. The whole process seemed designed to filter candidates out
instead of finding reasons to include them. I knew I wasn’t alone—thousands of candidates were having the same experience.
And if that wasn’t frustrating enough, I found myself writing "Dear Hiring Manager" over and over again at the start of
every cover letter. It was a small but constant reminder of how impersonal and broken the system was. That’s where the idea for
DearHire came from. This platform is about putting candidates first and personalizing the hiring process to give everyone a fair chance.
